Each year, young enthusiasts from the Calgary Rotaract Club gather for a retreat outside ofthe city to begin next year's planning. This year, members along with past president Shawn Grey returned to Golden, B.C. and spent the weekend paddling along the Columbia River, and howling with wolves at a sanctuary nearby. Both the paddling and the howling were nothing short of an "amped up" lead into how the club hopes to set the tone for a refined strategic plan, and successful year ahead. Longtime member Cory Tretiak describes the retreat as a means of "strengthening the relationships that are the basis for the following year's activities. By bringing people together through fun, learning, and the odd challenge, we are better able to respond to the demands of the service."
